Developed by Attitude Simulations, this scenery includes the Fox Islands located in the Great Lakes region, more exactly in North Michigan Lake.
North Fox Island – 6Y3
The North Fox Island is the most challenging due to its quite sloped airstrip surrounded by a forest. What surprised me the most, is that when I flew around for the first time I really had the impression of flying above a highly dense forest area thanks to the number of trees and the textures used underneath that reinforces this impression and cherry on the cake with...no impact on the FPS!
At the beginning of the airstrip, there is a campsite and bush planes parked nearby.
The textures and colors used to build the airstrip are simply gorgeous and participate in giving a sense of depth that is really helpful to master the touchdown on the slopy airstrip. The cones all along the strip, vegetation, grass and rocks lovely construct this small island of 3.32 square kilometres. I can assure you that if you fly around and practice soft field landings during sunset, you will enjoy this scenery untiringly again and again.
South Fox Island – 3MI2
South Fox Island is located few miles away from its little sister North Fox Island. There is a private airport equipped with a 5,500'x90' asphalt runway which is long enough to welcome any General Aviation piston, turbo prop and even private jet planes. The attention given to the vegetation and forest that surround the airfield is just as good as for the North Fox Island.
Trucks standingby on the small parking are ready to supply Jet A and 100LL fuel to your favorite aircraft.
The private properties built along the runway are well rendered and worth being overflown at low speed/altitude to enjoy all the details...be carreful to not scare the horses in their field :)
This island is larger with 13.89 square kilometres to explore.
At last but not least, this scenery package is really FPS friendly.
